The Sacred Heart altar stood originally in the old church. It is made of alabaster with a variety of marbles enriching it. The lower part of the wall behind is covered with Chellerton divided into panels by bands of serpentine, and the upper part with transparent Skyros, a Greek marble. The altarpiece is a copy of the picture of the Sacred Heart at the Roman Oratory.
